You have seen an advertisement in an English newspaper for a job working in the City Museum shop during the holidays.
You decide to apply for the job.
Write a letter to the director of the Museum. In your letter:
•introduce yourself
•explain what experience and special skills you have
•explain why you are interested in the job
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter for applying for a position of shop manager at the City Museum which I came across and advert in The Times newspaper.
I am Dean Roberts from Ohio. I am now pursuing my graduation here at Oaksville University. My current field of study is in archaeological sciences. I am in 2nd year of my four-year course.
I have experience working at one of family shops for few years. I am outstanding at tracking shop inventory, managing accounts and maintaining store neat and tidy. Not only I am an apt salesman but also can capture and suggest valuables as per the needs of the customer.
The prospect of being working at shop excites me as it feels me with reminisce of family shop. In addition, working at museum would be beneficial for my course curriculum. Another intention of job is so that I can earn some extra income during summer break and pay tiny amount for my tuition fees.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Yours faithfully
Dean Roberts
