The chart gives us information about the percentage of a different language spoken like Spanish, German, French along with English for the year 2000 and 2010 by British students of a particular university in England.
Overall we can say there are fewer people speaking 2 different languages other than English. It is clear from the given data that 10% of the people in 2000 spoke more than one language and this increased to 15% in 2010.
Looking more closely at the chart it is obvious that the maximum student spoke Spanish in 2000 and 2010. There was about a 5% difference between the Spanish speakers in both the years. It was 50% in 2000 and 55% in 2010. However, a decreasing trend was seen in the number of students talking in French. Earlier in 2000, 30% of student spoke French and in contrast to this in 2010, there were on 20% of the student left who spoke in French.
There was no change in the proportion of German speakers. They remained constant at 10% for both the year.
