The article states that communal online encyclopedias are one of resources for users in the internet and they have some differences with traditional printed encyclopedia, and provides three reasons of support. However, the professor explains that the online encyclopedia have other aspect which are good and refutes each of author’s reasons.
First, the reading claims that the online encyclopedia are edited or created by individuals who do not have academic educations and they maybe often include incorrect information or inaccurate knowledge, and the professor opposes the point by saying that if there are mistakes and errors in the printed encyclopedia they will remain for decades but on the internet source, users can easily correct the wrong and fallacious information which are in the online encyclopedias.
Second, the article posits that on the internet, vandals and hackers have an opportunity to fabricate the original entry. In contrast, the professor says that online encyclopedias have recognized the format and other people do not able to fabricate the original information. According to the professor, information and data in the online encyclopedia are reliable.
Third, the reading says that online encyclopedias concentrate too recurrent and too great a depth which produces an inexact impression of what is important. The professor casts doubt on this point by explaining that traditional printed encyclopedias are limited space to collect many information but on the internet source there is not such problems like them and this matter help people to earn helpful information for their works and researches in plentiful fields when they use online encyclopedias.
