The diagram below gives information about the number of parcels delivered by two major mail services companies from 1920 to 2000.
The presented line graph demonstrates data about how many parcels transported by two top mail office corporations, namely FedEx and TNT over the period of 80 years, starting from 1920 to 2000.
The most striking feature to be observed is that, whilst FedEx accounted for the highest amount of parcels in terms of the delivering at the beginning of period, it was replaced by TNT towards the end of the survey.
Looking at the data in more details, it is clear that in 1920, number of parcels which delivered by FedEx was about three-fold higher compared to TNT, 15000 and 5000 parcels, respectively. After that, FedEx figure witnessed a slight increase and hit the highest point just below 25000 in 1940. In the following decade, the figure plunged tremendously to around 12500. From 1950 to 1960, while FedEx figure remained relatively stable across 12500, the latter saw a substantial growth so approached to the number of parcel delivered by FedEx in 1960.
Turning to rest of description, there was a substantial increase in the amount of packages delivered by FedEx until 1980 and then it leveled out around 17500 by the end of survey. However, TNT figure saw dramatic rose between 1970 and 1990, and it outstripped the FedEx figure in 1990.
