waste collection
The graph demonstrates how much waste was collected by a recycling center over the course of 5 years, starting from 2011. Overall, there was an upward trend in the collection of waste from gardens and three other materials. Additionally, garden waste collection registered the lowest figures throughout the whole period, bottoming in 2012.
In 2011, the amount of paper waste collected was highest, standing at 57 tons. This figure in turn witnessed a considerable descent to hit a trough of 40 tons two years later, before a sharp ascent to reach the highest value on record of 70 tons was seen in 2015. Meanwhile, a noticeable fluctuation from 48 tons in 2011 to top at 52 tons in 2015 was exhibited in glass waste collection.
35 tons of tins waste was collected in the first year of the period. This figure then decreased markedly to reach a record-low of 27 tons one year later, before climbing marginally to 39 tons in 2015. Similarly, a two-fold decline to 15 tons between 2011 and 2012 was seen in the garden trash collection, which rapidly ascended to 35 tons over the next 3 years.
