It is clear that China and India have highest proportions of population in the period shown. In addition, the figure for Japan was the lowest.
In 1950, the proportion of China residents was highest, at nearly 25% of total global population, while the figure for India was slightly lower at 15%. At the same time, the figure for UAS and Japan was significantly lower, at over 5% and nearly 5% respectively.
In 2050, the proportion of the India population is expected to increase slowly to nearly 20% of total global population and become the highest figure in the chart. At the same time, the figure for the USA and Japan also are expected to slowly decrease to 5% and around 2% respectively. Meanwhile, the figure for China is expected to fall to 15%.
