Overall, it is noticeable that Australia was the most chosen country for British emigration over the periods. In addition, the number of British choosing Spain and New Zealand gradually plunged throughout years, whereas in USA and France, this number was fluctuated.
In terms of British moving to Australia, although it was decreasing from around 41000 in 2004 to nearly 39000 in 2005, the figures showed a significant peak of about 51000 in 2006 afterward. However, there was a fall of this statistic in 2007 which was approximately 43000.
Meanwhile, Spain and New Zealand recorded steadily decline of British emigration. Starting in 2004 with about 35000 in Spain and 23000 in New Zealand, 2007 then saw a drop of almost 27000 and exactly 20000 respectively.
In contrast, British living in USA wavered. It was generally 23000 in both 2004 and 2006 as opposed to roughly 20000 in 2005 and 2007. On the other hand, France witnessed a sudden rise of British comers in 2005 with (34000 compared with 22000 in 2004) then slided to under 20000 in 2007.
