Overall, It is evident that the amount and the quality of water in Australia was double than that in SE Asia. However, although the quantity of the water was increased in South-East Asia, its cleanliness was not improved.
To begin with, maximum (80%) people were provided water in Australia whereas the proportion of water receivers in SE Asia, was almost half than those in Australia in 1990. However, over the period of twenty years, every Australian citizen got water. Similarly, A huge change was witnessed in SE Asia as the proportion of individuals receiving water there had been double than in 1990, during the same time period.
On the other hand, in the case of water purity, Australia was again winner as it was distributing 70% fresh water to its inhabitants while the purity level in South-East Asia was just 40%. In 2010, Australia improved its water quality to above 80%, but in SE Asia, it dropped slightly to under 40%.
