You have been busy with your studies for the past month and haven’t had time to visit your family. Write a letter to your grandmother. In your letter:
• Apologize for not getting in touch with her sooner
• Explain why you have been so busy
• Arrange a time to visit
Dear Grandma,
How are you? Hope this letter finds you well. I am extremely sorry for not writing to you for a long time and have not visited home from the last six months.
I am very contented with my studies, practical, assignments and projects. My exams are going to start next month. Apart from the theoretical exam, there are also practical exams and project which I need to submit before the deadlines. I have to get an in-depth knowledge of my subjects because our college is arranging the company’s visit next Friday for our internship program. These companies will be multinational and recruit a student who will qualify for their interviews.
The exams will finish at the end of the month and I will be free for approximately one month before the beginning of my internship. I will be there immediately after completion of my all exams. I would like to go to our village to meet my kith and kin because it a long time I have not met them even and we have gone to them. Moreover, I want to spend quality time with you at the near picnic spot before my internship as I will be busy will my work later.
I am dying to meet you. Wish me luck for my exams.
