The table illustrates the registration of five different kinds of vehicles in Australia change in three years 2010, 2012, 2014.
It is noticeable that passenger vehicles topped the list of registered vehicles in all years while light trucks were the least registered type of vehicle. Overall, the number of all five types of vehicles registered accelerated over the period shown.
In 2010, 11,800,000 passenger vehicles were registered which quadrupling commercial vehicles( 2,300,000). Whereas, the volume of motorcycles registered were 540,000, the figure for heavy trucks were lower (384,000). Light trucks were registered the least, only 106,000.
Over next four years, all five types of vehicles registered decreased with in similar trend. The most drastic change was the registration of motorcycles which increasing 30,8% for the fomer. While light trucks shared comparable figure with changing to 23,5%. The remaining types of vehicles registered also increased slightly, the figures for heavy trucks and passenger vehicles were 8,3% and 10,2% respectively.
