The advantages and disadvantages of using Facebook as a means of online instruction

Due to Coronavirus disease, all the schools in Viet Nam force to close, and study online is the best solution for students. Facebook is one of the tools we use to learning, and after a short time, we recognize that it has negative and positive things.

About positive things, first, Facebook is a freely available app. Most of the teenager have to use it today, by learning on this app, students can relax and study at the same time. We can see the post and the exercise of our teacher faster and clearer than looking at the blackboard through our glasses. Moreover, we can interact with friends and teachers by chatting in groups and comments below the post. Then we can give the answers or projects fastly. Besides, students and teachers can elective places to study instead of going to the classroom. We do not need to pay parking fees as normal and do not waste time to move during lessons.

And about the negative things, we saw that not all students have the internet at home so they must buy the internet (4G). On Facebook, we can not exchange directly to each other as "Zoom" or "Google meet", so we just do exercises and post in Facebook groups. This is the most disadvantageous thing by using Facebook to learning, without contact directly we must control ourselves to complete the exercise before the deadline.

there are some positive and negative things about using Facebook for learning online. Recently, because of COVID-19, we must stay home already, so Facebook becomes a useful tool for students although some limitations.
