The diagram shows the process on how electricity is being generated in two different kind of hydroelectric power station. Overall, the process consists of turbines, generators, a pipe, and also the transmission line.
There has been several significant changes in the traditional and modern hydroelectric power. In the past, it only consisted of 3 steps and there was no water flowing downhill built next to the turbines. Development has been implied to the machine, so, the process will be more effective. To begin with, the water, which flows from the the river, are being diverted, some go to a new channel and some remain to flow along the river. After that, the water will go through a pipe that connect to the turbines and will activate the turbine blades. Because of it, the turbines start to turn constantly and consequently also turn the generator, which is the connector between the turbines and transmission lines.
Electricity are made from the previous steps and it will be conducted through the transmission lines. After the water has already been used for turning on the blades, the used water will be released and exit from the turbines and flows back to the river. This diagram is a continuation flow because there will always have water running from the river and being used for the machine to produce electricity.
