Riverdale Public School System
The bar charts illustrate the change of spending per pupil and students percentage that passed the Reading and Math test at Riverside Public School system, between the years of 1995 and 2010 by 5 years difference.
Overall, the cost per pupil decreased significantly over the years. However, the second graph presents a slight decrease in the students’ results as well.
It is obvious that the highest spending per child was $ 12,000 in 1995. After that year, spending followed an almost constant decrease to the year 2010 when it was named as nearly $ 8,000 per student. During this time zone, the most remarkable difference was between the years of 1995 and 2000. At rest, the gap was significantly similar.
On the other hand, unlike spending, students' success rates were not decreased dramatically. In 1995, it was above 86% and became just less than 83% in 2010. The severe decline of spending of a child could not reflect the same fall to the percentage of success. From 1990 to 2010, the rate of successful students in Math and Reading, decreased by only 4%.
