Dear David,
I am writing to the faculty of US Arts College, New York in regret to inform you that I am discontinuing college. I am your student enrolled for 'Culinary Arts' at your place with student ID as 10026788.
The reason for my exit is no bigger reason than lack of syllabus preparation time. This is so because, I work as a chef for a renown hotel and due to the oncoming Christmas holidays tourism will burgeon, and hence I am asked to work additional shifts. I had to accept the supervisors request with gladness.
As you can understand from the above that I will be inundated with food orders during this festive season, I called it quits to study further. I am aware that this might create a lapse in education, but I promise to rejoin the class next year if the admissions staff permits me rejoin.
