The table and pie chart give information about population in Australia according to different nationalities and areas
The pie chart compares the percentage of people residing in Australia who come from different countries. Meanwhile, the table illustrates the proportion of the population living in different areas.
It is immediately apparent that Australian people account for most of Australia's population, and living in the city is the most popular choice by people in Australia.
Looking at the pie chart, Australian people account for nearly three-quarters of Australia’s population, at 73%. The percentages of people from the UK and New Zealand are much lower, at 7% and 3%, respectively. The figures for people from China and Dutch are lowest, at 2% and 1%. The other nationality accounts for 14%.
Looking at the table, it is clear that living in the city is the most popular choice for Chinese people, 99% of people choosing, whereas only 1% lived in the countryside. A similar picture is evident in the figures for people from Australia, Dutch, the UK, and New Zealand, with their urban population amounting to a high of 80 - 90%.
