The pie chart illustrates how adolselences in one African nation use their phones for four different purposes during the period of 2016 - 2019.
It is clear that most teenagers used their phones to access social network throughout the 4-year-period. It is also noteable that phone calls were the least used feature.
In 2016, half of these African teenagers used their phones for social networking purposes. This number slightly decreased by 2% in 2017, but rose to 51% and 56% in 2018 and 2019 respectively, showing more teenagers were mainly using their phones for social media. In contrast, just one in ten African teenager mainly used phone calls in 2016; but by the end of the period the figure for this decreased by a half.
Emailing, being the second famous usage, saw a decrease in porpotion during the period. The figures drop from 25% in 2016 to only one-fifth in 2019. The opposite trend can be observed in the digital camera sector: it rose from 15% to 20% during the 4-year-period.
