Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they oppose specific points made in the reading passage.
Both the reading passage and lecture discusses about casein packaging . The former one points three benefits of using this milk based wrapping whereas latter one contends these benefits.
First of all, the passage says that casein-based plastic package reduces waste because its main component are milk and protein. These wrappers are biodegradable and can dissolve in water. However, the lecture asserts that due to suceptibility of water to these milk based package, they require extra protective layer. The only option available is synthetic materials which are even more harmful to the environment. So, casein package cannot wane the quantity of waste.
Secondly, the author of the passage mentions that food is kept fresh when stored in casein package because they block oxygen and avoid spoilage. On the other hand, professor argues that due to vulnerability of the cover to water they cannot be spoilage free and release water molecule. Moreover, they have low elasticity and also alters the taste of the product stored. Hence, they cannot keep fresh and lekage free product.
Finally, the reading passage claims that casein package are nutritious to health since casein contains proteins, hydroxyl and ammino groups, vitamins and probiotics. So, the are good for bones and muscle. In contrast, the lecture mentions that this protective layer is not good for people with milk allergy. If people allergic to milk eat these covers, they will have similar impacts as that of consuming dairy products. This is a big threat to some people and might have painstaking outcomes.
In conclusion, the reading passage and the lecture, even though have a common topic, one of them shows the positive side of a type of packaging whereas another contradicts these claimed benefits and informs auch packaging as perilious.
