An historic building in your city is in bad condition. Write to the local government. Include in your letter:
Why the building is important
Its present condition
What action must be taken
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to draw your attention to the condition of St. Maria’s Cathedral on Main Street. The matter of fact is that the church is a historical building, which has remained among the few as a heritage from the medieval era in our city. In addition, it is a fabulous example of Gothic architecture with a striking feature of the church steeple.
Unfortunately, today the Cathedral falls into decay and demands an urgent renovation. The main important issue of it is that the roof has holes and during the rain, the inner part of the church becomes flooded. That is why the walls in some parts of it are moldy and wet.
Therefore, I would like to recommend adding the church to the list of required funding buildings in our city for the next financial year. It also would be great if the city council organized a fundraising event in the favor of the church. Thus, the volunteers would be able to start the renovation of the roof as soon as possible.
I appreciate your attention to this matter.
Sincerely yours,
Marie Cherry
