The given graph compares the expenditure of power in the USA between 1980 and 2030.

Overall, the fossil fuel energy experienced an upward trend. At the same time, the man-made energy rose but not so much.

In 1980, around 72 quadrillion were used for petrol and oil, coal and gas. The nuclear, solar/wind, hydropower sectors were responsible for just under five quadrillion. By 2005, the natural gas's figure showed a gradual decrease while all the fossil fuels left and synthesis energy's number increased. The expenditure of petrol and oil peaked in 2030 with nearly 50 quadrillion.

The consumption of coal rose significantly to about 30 quadrillion. while the natural gas and hydropower's figure had steady growth at the end of the period with 25 and 3 respectively. The nuclear and solar/wind got a climbed steadily.
