The chart illustrates the detailed figures of people who ate five portions of fruit and vegetables per day. These data were updated in the UK from 2001 to 2008. In general, it is noticeable that these figures are divided into three kinds of people, including men, women, and children. Overall, fractionally more percentage of women who ate fruit and vegetables per day than men, and the proportion of men significantly more than children.

The majority of women who ate five portions of fruit and vegetables per day rose steadily from 2001 to 2006, and fell slightly from 2006 to 2008. In 2006, Women achieve the largest proportion with over 30%, and men also reached the peak at about 37% in the same year. Moreover, a significant number of children reached the highest point of eating over 30% in 2007.

It is striking that a significant of men increased sharply from 2003 to 2006, and fall steadily from 2006 to 2008. The amount of men’s eating stayed unchanged from 2001 to 2003, however, in comparison with children, it just stayed unchanged throughout two years, and increased dramatically from 2002 to 2007, then it fall from 2007 to 2008. The chart also gives information about the lowest quantity among three kinds of people. In 2001, It is easily to see the lowest number of eating of men and children, over 10% and 15%, respectively. The figures remained the same number after one year, and women were reached the smallest peak at about 23% at the year of 2001.
