You have seen an advertisement in an Australian magazine for someone to live with a family for six months and look after their six-year-old child.
Write a letter to the parents. In your letter
• explain why you would like the job
• give details of why you would be a suitable person to employ
• say how you would spend your free time while you are In Australia
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my interest as a live in nanny which was advertised in the Helpdesk magazine a few days back. As you are aware that due to the ongoing pandemic situation a lot of organisations and institutions have closed down. I have also lost my job for this reason and am in dire need of one.
However, I am aptly qualified for this role as I have prior experience handling children. I have been working as a teacher for the past 3 years until the institution was sealed off due to debt. Along with taking care of your child I can ensure that they have completed their studies as well as their homework. If their school is not ongoing I will be able to home tutor them so that there is no lapse in their learning process. Besides I also have personal experience with children as I have 2 younger brothers.
In my free time, I usually apply for jobs and remain updated with the latest teaching techniques by enrolling in certain courses that will be beneficial for my career in the long run. Since it is a six months contractual job, I hope to continue actively look for opportunities while dedicatedly looking after your child.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
XYZ
