Overall, the ratio was in increasing pattern who visit to and from the UK and France was the most popular destination for UK citizen.
To begin with, the number of visits abroad by UK residents was higher than the people who visits to the UK, and this remain the same throughout the whole period. The figure starts with the similar number, approximately with 10 million, but visits abroad in rose significantly and across 50 million, whereas, visit to UK by foreigners end with roughly 30 million.
However, the most visited country by resident of UK was France and Spain with above10 millions and around 8 million respectively. However, USA, Greece and Turkey were the least favorite country to visit for UK, and the figure was recorded 4, 3 and 2 million respectively.
