The diagrams below show the changes that have taken place at West Park Secondary School since its construction in 1950.
The maps display the modifications that have taken place at West Park Secondary School since its construction in 1950. In common, it can be seen that the school building and main road have not been changed over the 60 years.
Firstly, the 3 blocks of houses, which have been located on the left side of the school building in 1950, have been removed in 1980. And instead of them, have been added car park and science block in 1980. According to the 1950s map, there was a farmland in the bottom left hand corner. So this construction has been replaced with sports field for children in 1980. However, a car park has been extended in 2010. And whole area of the sports field has been taken by car park. Subsequently, the large area of the playground has been replaced with the sports field in 2010. Also, school has been improved over the period.
In brief, the region has been developed, modernised, and optimised for the schools' various needs.
