Delta Dog Breeding Essay 2
Despite the fact dogs have intrinsic characteristics or skills for hunting, herding or guarding. Nowadays the dog’s desirable characteristics by the breeders difere. They are more focused on pure breeds and they registered them in canine associations like American Kennel Club.
First, the reading explains how the breeders main goal is standardize and maintain specific dogs’ points like the appearance. For instance, the dog breeders help to improve different dog breeds and participate in their welfare. On the other hand, the professor talks about the backyard breeders who are more worried about the profit than the dog’s welfare.
Second, the reading severed that social media, shows, and movies helped to have a better conception of different breeds and even though to have an easier experience being a dog owner. However the professor refutes the fact pointing that the canine associations take more care of dog’s puritty than their health. In addition, the professor also points out that after the puppies grow and become adults, the people don’t want them anymore and then are abandoned.
