A friend you met last year has invited you to visit him/her in his/her country. You have never been there before and need some information before you leave.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
request advise about a gift for his/her family
ask about activities and clothing in his/her country
find out about the food
Hello John,
How are you? I hope you are doing good with your family. I got your invitation and I'm super excited to meet you but at the same time, I'm confused as well. So, I need few suggestions about packing from you.
This will be my first time when I meet your family, so I thought to give them something as a token of love. Unfortunately, I have no idea about your family culture so please suggest that which will help me to select a gift for them. Staying with you and your family would be really fun and it gives me a chance to explore more about your place by doing different activities. Well, I'm not sure about the weather conditions of Australia, though I have searched on the internet a little bit. I have to rely on you for clothing suggestions and activities that we will do there.
Apart from that, I think you are not aware that I am allergic to seafood hence, I need to know about the cuisine available there.
Hoping for a fast reply from you. Till then take care.
Ally
