The bar chart illustrates how many the percentage of residents bought fresh, bought instant, or went to a café in five Australian cities during last 4 weeks.
Looking from an overall perspective, it can be seen that citizens residing in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart tended to go for a cup of coffee instead of buying coffee while residents in other cities prefer buying fresh coffee to other choices.
As for the group which had the vast majority of proportion, the proportion of going to a coffee shop in Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart is around 61%, 64 and 63% respectively. The proportion of buying fresh coffee in Sydney and Melbourne is about 43% and 42% correspondingly, which are almost the same as buying instant coffee with 46% these cities while in Hobart city, buying instant coffee dominated buying fresh coffee.
With regard to the category which had a relatively even distribution, the percentage of buying instant coffee is quite similar to going a coffee shop with roughly 50% in Brisbane and Adelaide city while buying fresh coffee had an even distribution with 34%.
