Dear ABC,
Hi, I am hoping you are keeping up in good health and spirits. I am thankful to you for letting me stay in your apartment for 5 days. Unfortunately, your expensive silver lined plate was broken by accident and I thought to inform you about this. I will explain the situation further ahead.
As, I was with family staying in your beautiful house. my son was playing football inside the dining room. Although, I told him to play outside so that anything will not break because of the ball. but, as you know children never listen in spite of my warning he kicked the ball so fast that the decorative silver lined plate which was placed in the clauset. Suddenly, fell out and broke out. When I confronted my son he started crying so I did not scolded him much. sorry, my buddy for this mishap and I know the thing is important for you as it was a gift from your father.
I know it's value is priceless and it cannot be fixed but still I want to apologize for my son's mistake. if you do not mind I will like to repay the cost of that broken plate and even if possible I will try to get the exact same piece from the market. Please accept this as a token of my mistake.
I am blessed to have a friend like you and again I am extremely sorry for what happened.
