The first graph shows the number of train passengers from 2000 to 2009; the second compares the percentage of trains running on time and target in the period.
The first line graph illustrates how many people use train between 2000 and 2009 while the second one gives information about the proportion of trains running on time compared to the target.
Overall, the number of train passengers slightly fluctuated over the course of 9 years and the highest figure was seen in 2005. However, the percentage of trains running on schedule had a more violent fluctuation in comparison with the station's goal.
In 2000, there were about 37 million individuals who chose to commute by train. This number then rose approximately 5 million in the next two years but suddenly dropped to the number that nearly equal to the starting point. After that, it reached a peak at 47 million passengers in 2005 and fall steadily to 40 million commuters before recovered to 42 million users in the last year.
The proportion of on-time train was quite low in 2000, just at 92%, lower than the standard line 3%. This figure then rose significantly in a row of four years until it recorded 1% higher than the target. However, it eventually fell sharply to the percentage that similar to the first point before having a dramatic increase and plateauing at 97% in the last two years.
