The graph below shows the percentage change in the number of international students graduating from universities in different Canadian provinces between 2001 and 2006.
The bar graph represents how the number of overseas students graduating from universities in various Canadian provinces changed from 2001 to 2006. Noticeably, the majority of Canadian provinces witnessed an increase in the rate of international graduates with the highest estimate remained to be in New Brunswick.
In 2001, the proportion of overseas alumni diverged from roughly 3 percent in Ontario to 7 percent in New Brunswick. After five years, the percentage of grads had steadily increased in most provinces except for Alberta. Furthermore, the ratio there witnessed a modest drop to approximately 4.4 percent, being the lowest figure compared to other provinces.
A more detailed look at the graph reveals that the figures for graduates students from other countries in Newbrunswick had always ranked top in both 2001 and 2006 at merely 7 percent and 11.8 percent respectively. However, the most dramatic change occurred in British Columbia, where the quota for international graduates climbed from about 4.7 in 2001 to just around 10.6 in 2006.
