The bar chart provided illustrates the international sales of the top five telecommunications brand during the years 2009, 2011 and 2013.
It is highly apparent that Samsung's phone sales escalated over the four-year period whereas in the case of Nokia, it was the complete opposite as it was experiencing a steep plummet within that given time frame. However, both companies managed to generate higher global sales in comparison to Apple, LG and ZTE.
In 2009, international phone sales of Samsung were slightly above 200 after which it rose sharply to 300 in 2011 and then skyrocketed to 450 by 2013. Nokia back in 2009 had earned sales around 450 after which the company experienced a slight drop within two years and after that sales plunged twofold by 2013.
Looking at the lesser demanding brands, Apple had a steady growth in its sales, while LG's trading continued to decline. ZTE had the slowest growth amongst all the other brands.
