The chart below shows the amount of leisure time enjoyed by men and women of different employment status.

The bar chart gives information about the amount of free time attended by men and women with different career statuses according to a specific week in 1998-99.
Looking from an overall perspective, men in all types of employment situations spent more time on leisure activities per week than women in each category, with the exception of housewives and employed part-time.
As the chart portrays, no statistics were presented in the figure for employed part-time and housewives toward men, while those figures in women were 40% and 50% respectively.
Men with employed full-time had approximately 50% of their free time in a week, which was 10% higher compared to the women in the same section. Those proportions showed a significant rise for both males and females in unemployed and retired status. To be precise, an equal amount contributed by the figure of unemployed and, retired (80%) and women, whose leisure time still lower than men, but had been increased to 75%.
