The graph below shows the amounts of waste produced by three companies over a period of 15 years.
The provided line graph makes a comparison in terms of waste production of three separate companies between 2000 and 2015.
Overall, it is evident that whereas companies A and B experienced a downward trend in the amount of waste output during this time frame, the opposite was true for company C.
Looking at the information in more detail, in 2000, company A released 12 tonnes of waste, whilst companies B and C produced around 8 and 4 tonnes respectively. In the following five years, the amount of waste produced by company A fell slightly by 2 tonnes. Both of the other companies, meanwhile, witnessed a two-tonne increase in their waste output.
From 2005 to 2015, company A reduced its waste production by approximately 3 tonnes, reaching somewhere in the vicinity of 8 tonnes at the end of the period. Company B, at the same time, showed a drastic decline in its waste output to 3 tonnes. The figure for company C, on the contrary, rose steadily to nearly 10 tonnes over a 10-year period.
