The bar chart below shows the percentage of students who passed their high school competency exams, by subject and gender, during the period 2010-2011.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart shows information about the proportion of high school students in France, Germany and Spain who passed the competency examinations in the school year of 2010-2011. The data is depicted by genders and seven major subjects.
Overall, it is clear that while the portion of girls passing science subjects was higher than that of boys, the reverse trend can be seen in Geography. In addition, Geography was passed by the lowest proportion of girls, whereas the lowest figure for boys was in Chemistry.
In the year 2010-2011, 30,2% of girls passed the subject of Chemistry in the competency exams, which almost doubled the percentage of boys. While there were 56,3% of female students passing Computer Science, the figure for boys was lower by 14,2%.
On the contrary, regarding Geography, 30,4% of boys passed this subject, which was over 10% higher than the figure for girls. Meanwhile, there was not much differences between the proportion of male and female students who passed Physics, History, Foreign Language and Mathematics, although the figures for girls were marginally higher.
