The two charts demonstrate the amount of produced steel, the factual need for it and the number of employees over a period of one year.
Overall, as can be seen from the former chart, steel manufactured was higher than the one actually in use. In the latter one, it is noticeable that the number of workers recruited plummeted intermittently throughout twelve months.
In terms of demand for steel, the amount cranked out was highest in about February and September. From March to July, the figure plateaued at 4000 million tonnes. The last four months witnessed a steep decline in steel production. Meanwhile, in reality, during most of the year, the actual consumption for steel was much lower than the amount generated. However, in December, its number exceeded the other and reached 2000 at the end of the period.
Turning to workers employed, the highest figure was circa 5500 in February; nevertheless, it underwent fluctuations. There was a sharp downtick since August. Later, in December, it hit the lowest point of 1000 thousand employees.
