Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.
Leisure time in a typical week in hour- by sex and employment status, 1998-99.
The chart depicts the number of leisure hours spent by both males and females categorized by their employment positions within the years 1998 and 1999.
Looking from all perspectives, it is readily apparent that males tended to enjoy more leisure time compared to their female counterparts whilst there was no status for male in two categories, namely part-time employment and indeed, the housewives. Turning to the details, the highest leisure hour was shown in the unemployment sector, with around 85 hours in men and nearly 80 in women. Next, the group of retired people followed up with a mere difference from the highest, having the same statistic figure in females, and males with approximately 84 hours. Moreover, women at home seemed to spend more leisure time than the employed male and female counterparts as the former spent five more hours than the latter. In addition, females with part-time jobs only had 40 hours out of 100 in terms of taking time to themselves.
To sum up, males, whether employed or unemployed, spent more time for their relaxation though females spent much lesser hours on leisure overall.
