public park
The maps illustrate changes that have taken place at a public park since 1902.
Overall, the park has experienced a significant transformation over the past years, with the appearance of another entrance leading to an underground car park and the relocation as well as the development of amenities.
To begin with, there used to be two rose gardens located in the top left of Arnold Avenue and Eldon Street and also four surrounding seating areas. However, only the garden on Eldon Street exists at the present. The stage for musicians between the two rose gardens have been demolished to make way for an amphitheatre for concerts. In the centre of the park, the two main entrances to the place still remain while the fountain in the middle has been replaced by a fountain.
To the top right corner of the park, the rose garden and the pond for water plants were converted into a coffee shop and a children playground. Immediately opposite used to be a glasshouse and some seats being transformed into a water feature. Finally, the park now has one more entrance to the bottom right connecting to an underground parking space for car users.
