The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different ages groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
The diagram compares how many Australian men and women over 15 years old doing regular exercise in 2010.
Overall, it is obvious that more females than males had habits of exercising in all age groups except those who are 15 to 24 years old. Moreover, there are opposite trends for the two genders.
As can be seen, the most active age group for Australian men is 15-24 years old, with 52.8% of those doing regular physical activity in 2010, while 47.7% of women at this age worked out regularly.
After 24 years old, fewer men exercised frequently, with a decrease to 39.5% in 35-44 years old. However, the percentage of women saw a different change that increasing female would do physical activities with older age, rising to 53.3% at 45-54 years old.
Above 55, the percentage for males slightly rises while that for females decreases, reaching a similar point around 47% for both genders at 65 and over.
