The maps below show the village of Stokeford in 1930 and 2010
The charts describe the differences in the Stokeford village between 1930 and 2010.
Overall, Stokeford village had been re-constructed enormously by building more houses, which replaced farmlands and roads were much more than in 1930
First of all, in 1930, the number of houses in the village was just about 12 houses, 2 shops, 1 post office, while most of the land was used to feed the cows and a small primary school for residents.
However, Stokeford village changed significantly in the next 80 years later. The number of accommodation buildings increased dramatically and the road systems were also expanded into many corners, which was a single road in 1930. Moreover, the primary school had upgraded by adding more two blocks in the east. In addition, there were no farmlands in the village in 2010. Furthermore, the shops were removed and the place that had a garden and a large house was replaced into the retirement house in 2010. Finally, there were 2 things that did not change between these years were the river and the bridge of Stokeford.
