The graph below shows female unemployment rates in each country of the United Kingdom in 2013 and 2014.
The bar chart provides information about the percentage of women who were unemployed in four countries named England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland between 2013 and 2014.
Overall, there are fewer females were jobless in 2014 than in the previous year, while the proportion of women in Scotland tends to rise slightly. It is noticeable that the unemployment rates of English women and Scottish women are substantially higher than those of women in Wales and Northern Ireland.
In 2013, the percentage of English women who were unemployed came out first (6.8%) in all four countries, which was 0.7% higher than that of second-position Scotland. The number of females who were out of work in Wales was marginally smaller than those in Northern Ireland, with 5.4% and 5.6%, respectively.
A year later, there was a slight change in the proportion of unemployed women within four countries. While the rates of unemployed women in England fell to 6.5%, their counterparts in Scotland went up moderately 0.6% making them rank first in the year 2014. In the other two nations, Wales and Northern Ireland, the figure for unemployed females were decreased, from 5.4% to 5.0% in Wales and from 5.6% to 4.6% in Northern Ireland.
