The chart below shows the changes that took place in three different areas of crime in Newport city center from 2003-2012. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph provides information about the alteration of three types of crime in Newport city center over a nine-year period from 2003 to 2012.
Overall, while the greatest change occurred in the number of burglaries, incidents of robberies remained low but steady. It is remarkable that car theft rose and had the biggest number of incidents in 2012.
In 2003, it can be seen that burglary was the most common crime with around 3400 reported cases. The year 2004 witnessed an increase in the number of burglaries and reached a peak of approximately 3800. However, this figure plummeted and stood at just over 1000 incidents until 2008. This went up marginally in 2009, then continued to fluctuate for the remaining period.
In 2003, the number of cars being stolen was about 2800 and followed a similar trend to burglary until 2006. This dropped dramatically at just over 2000 incidents, but in the following years, the trend was generally upwards. When it comes to robbery, this has always been a petty crime in the center of Newport throughout the years. The number of offenses committed changed a little over nine years. Furthermore, the data for 2003 is exactly the same as that in 2012, at around 520 incidents.
