Some people believe the mass media have too much influence over people Do you agree

In my opinion, the mass media has both positive and negative impacts on people. To begin with, the mass media, such as tv, the radio, and the Internet have contributed greatly to disseminating information and knowledge at an unprecedented speed. For example, in just a matter of hours, viewers can be updated on the latest news in other parts of the world. Moreover, we can entertain ourselves after an exhausting day by watching tv, playing games. However, the mass media also have many negative influences. Firstly, people can easily be misinformed by mass media. There is a lot of unprecise information which we difficultly distinguish, especially the children can’t differentiate information so they are easily influenced by immoral news Secondly, mass media can be subjective and controlled by powerful people. In conclusion, I am convinced that the negative influences of the mass media outweigh their positive impacts
