The given illustration depicts the procedure of producing sugar from sugar cane.
Overall, the process has seven main stages in total. Starting with the sugar cane-planting and wrapping up with sugar as a completed product.
Firstly, the growth of sugar cane can last at least a year and a half before ready to be harvested. In the stage of harvesting, the job can be done both manually by hand or automatically by machine. Then, a crusher will take its job of crushing the sugar canes to take the juice out for the upcoming stage.
Having been purified by a limestone filter, the juice is then evaporated by heat to aid the condensation of the syrup. Afterwards, the centrifuge is responsible for separating sugar crystals from the condensed syrup. Lastly, it will be stored in a metal container for drying and cooling out. When it is dry enough, sugar is ready to be served.
