The three maps visualise the transformation of West Park Secondary School in three distinct years: 1950,1980 and 2010.It is perceptible that the area located near the main road experienced multiple significant changes towards its west with the addition and elimination of a handful of buildings. At first, the campus only had a playground along with the main building. The school only used half of the land while houses and farmland were located to the left side. Three decades later, the school was expanded towards its west along with the plateau in location of the playground. To be more accurate, houses to the left side of the school were removed whose space was divided into two parts with the new science block and the car park. The agricultural land was converted into a new sports field in the same year.
In 2010/ Fast forward 30 years more, the main building location remained unchanged as well as science blocks, yet there were various changes to school construction of the size per area. Although the car park used to be located in a smaller space to the left of the main building, its area was expanded compared to 1980 toward the adjacent old sports field, increasing the area up to 150%. The playground’s size, however, was splitted away about 40% of the land for the placement of the new sports field.
