A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children's sports team for two years or to pay for two open-air concerts.
It has asked for feedback from the general public.
Write a letter to the company. In your letter:
• describe the benefits of sponsoring the sports team
• summaries the benefits of paying for the concerts
• say how you think the company should spend the money
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my deep gratitude to your company for the decision to sponsor our community. I am deeply grateful for your willingness to invest in the development of a youth sports team, or, alternatively, to organize two outdoor concerts.
Needless to say, supporting a sports team financially will bring tangible benefits to both the team and your business. With your sponsorship, they will definitely learn, improve their skills, and develop their sports potential, while promoting your brand. Perhaps some of them will bring glory in the future in professional competitions so that we as a community can be proud of ourselves.
On the other hand, organizing two open-air concerts is also a good idea, as people will enjoy the performance immensely. Some local groups will have the opportunity to showcase their talents, which will certainly contribute to the development of our culture and heritage.
I am sure that any of your initiatives will be of great benefit to our community. However, I believe that supporting a local sports team is more outstanding than increasing the number of music lovers by sponsoring a concert. The concerts would be temporary entertainment for the locals, but the provision of young athletes would be remembered for a long time and would provide many reasons for celebration and pride.
Thanks again for the great initiative.
Yours faithfully
Alex Sam.
