The graph below shows the amounts of waste produced by three companies over a period of 15 years.
The line chart illustrates how much waste was released by three companies from 2000 to 2015.
Overall, it is clear that both A and B companies witnessed a significant decrease in their amount of waste while there is an upward trend for company C’s waste output in the same period.
In 2000, company A accounted for a large number of wastes with 12 tonnes, and the consumption experienced a slight decrease to about 11 tonnes by 2015. Subsequently, the waste output of company A continued to reduce but more steeply to 8 tonnes in 2015, which was the lowest point in the entire period surveyed.
Next, waste production of company B released to around 8 tonnes in 2000 but this increased gradually to 10 tonnes by 2005. Following this, there was a sharp drop in the amount of waste of company B, reducing to 3 tonnes in 2015.
In contrast, 4 tonnes of company C’s waste output were produced in 2000 and the consumption rose gradually to 6 tonnes over the next 5 years. The amount of waste output then increased significantly to 10 tonnes by 2015.
