The diagram shows the components of a neuron and how it works. Sumarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features
The process diagram illustrates the elements of a neuron and the way it operates.
It is noticeable that there are several stages of this process, beginning with receiving messages from other cells and ending with forming a junction with other cell bodies.
Looking at the diagram in more detail, the structure of the neuron begins with a cell body, which is known as soma. The soma is surrounded by dendrites, whose function is to receive messages from other cells. Afterward, with the assistance of an axon, this information is transported away from the cell body to other neurons, muscles, or glands, Especially, there is an electrical signal, which is known as an action potential, traveling down the axon. In addition, each axon may be shielded by a number of Myelin sheaths, in order to speed neural impulse.
When the neural impulse has made its way pass the axon, it reaches the terminal buttons - the neuron's end. These buttons can help to form junctions with other cells
