Review “My book love”.
Like everyone else, I also have a passion for books. I would like to concentrate on books that leave an impression. That is The Old Man and the Sea.
In detail, It is a short novel written in Cuba by Ernest Hemingway in 1951 and published in 1952. It is the last short fiction story written by Hemingway and published during his lifetime(123 pages). This is also a famous work and one of the pinnacles works in the writer's career.
The story revolves around the arduous fishing life of an old Cuban. During a fishing trip, he stabbed a swordfish to death with a spear, tied it to the side of the boat and brought it back, but the sharks sniffed it. When he saw the smell of the fish he caught, he rushed over, he was also very brave to give his best to fight the sharks. In the end, he killed quite a few fish and drove them away, but when he finally reached the shore and looked back, his swordfish had been eaten away and only a white skeleton remained.
In my opinion, swordfish is a symbol of dreams and aspirations that people want to achieve. But the journey to conquer is not easy when people have to go through many difficulties, pitfalls, and struggles to succeed.
From this book, I have learned a very valuable lesson that to achieve success must go through difficulties. That is also the attraction of this book.
