The table compares the cost of coffee in 6 cities in Australia between 2010 and 2014.
In general, the Australian people had to pay significantly higher for coffee in Sydney than in the other countries. Besides, the cost of coffee in Melbourne experienced the most remarkable rise over time.
In Sydney, it cost 2,9 dollars for a coffee drink in 2010, and it has sold an increase of 13,2% four years later. Melbourne placed second highest at the coffee price in both years, having the most significant change of 20.8% and rising to 2,9 dollars. Brisbane sold 2,25 dollars for a cup of coffee and the city was no change in price of coffee.
Since 2010, Perth had raised the price by 7,1%, slightly higher than the change in Adelaide. Perth residents pay $2.25, while Adelaide residents pay just $2, $0.35 less than Perth in 2014. By comparing the price of a cup of coffee from different cities, it can be seen that Canberra is the cheapest of the cities with prices not rising too high at $1.50 in 2010 and $1.70 in 2014
