The climograph below shows average monthly temperatures and rainfall in the city of Kolkata.
The average monthly temperature and precipitation have been shown in the line and bar chart respectively in the city called Kolkata.
It is clear that the amount of rainfall significantly varies in different months, while there is a slight change in monthly temperatures. April and May are the warmest months, and July and August have the highest amount of rainfall.
According to the bar chart, the amount of precipitation in January was just under 50mm. The figures for the following months increase dramatically until July, in which the amount of rainfall increases to a peak of 340mm. Then the next months, namely August, September, October, November and December see decreases in the amount of rainfall. Precipitation has the most significant reduction in December with around 5mm.
Based on the line chart, in all months the temperature of the city is between 20 and 30 C. In other words, the monthly temperature is relatively stable. April and May have the highest temperature with around 29 C. The lowest figure is shown for January and December with around 20C.
It is noticeable that in the warmest months, constituting April and May the amount of rainfall is low.
