The line chart illustrates how many visitors travelled to a Caribbean island from 2010 to 2017 in one-year intervals.
Overall, the numbers of visitors to this island underwent an upward trend in spite of the activities they chose. It is also worth pointing out that at the beginning, tourists preferred to stay on island where as at the end, staying on cruise ships became a more popular option.
A quick glance at the line chart reveals that during the first two years of the given period, it is recorded that around 0.75 million visitors chose to stay on island. In the next three years, this figure witnessed a noticeable increase of 0.75 million before flattening out at the end of the period, despite a slight drop of just 0.25 million in 2016. Showing a different pattern, while showing a mild fluctuation between 2010 and 2013, the figure for visitors who chose to stay on the ships climbed significantly from 0.5 million, surpassing their island counterpart, and reached a peak at two million at the end.
Turning to the other set of data, the total number of visitors to this Caribbean island was one million at the beginning. As of 2012, there was a sharp rise, reaching the highest point at 3.5 million in 2017.
